By creating an account or using Reconna, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use Reconna on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization; all references to “you” include that organization.

2. Service Description and Acceptable Use

What Reconna Provides

Reconna is a competitive-intelligence and monitoring platform that:

• Crawls publicly available websites that you choose to track.
• Detects and records material changes to those websites.
• Uses AI models to summarize and interpret detected updates.
• Delivers periodic digests and notifications by email or connected services (e.g., Slack).

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Monitor or process any website in violation of applicable laws or that site’s terms of use.
• Scrape, harvest, or collect personal or non-public data.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the Service.
• Use Reconna to distribute spam, malware, or fraudulent content.
• Reverse-engineer or copy source code or algorithms.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without written permission.

Reconna may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

3. Accounts, Subscriptions, and Billing

Account Responsibilities

You must provide accurate information, maintain account security, and promptly notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

• Free tier — limited usage as listed on our pricing page.
• Paid tiers — billed monthly or annually in advance.
• Auto-renewal — renews unless canceled before the renewal date.
• Billing authorization — you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method.

Refunds and Cancellation

You may cancel at any time. Access continues through the current billing period; no partial refunds are issued unless required by law.

Price Changes

We may change pricing with at least 30 days’ notice before renewal. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

4. Intellectual Property

Our Property

All software, design, content, and code that make up Reconna are owned by Reconna Inc. and protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service without written consent.

Your Data

You retain ownership of domains, configuration data, and any input you provide.

You grant Reconna a limited license to process this data solely to operate and improve the Service.

AI-Generated Content

AI summaries and insights are generated automatically. While Reconna aims for accuracy, such content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated material before relying on it.

Trademarks

“Reconna,” the Reconna logo, and associated marks are trademarks of Reconna Inc. You may not use them without written authorization.

5. Crawling and AI Processing

Reconna crawls only publicly available content on websites you specify.

We do not access password-protected or private data. Crawled content is processed by Reconna and trusted third-party AI providers exclusively to generate summaries for your account.

No customer or competitor data is used to train external AI models.

6. Integrations and Communications

When you connect Reconna to services such as Slack, you authorize us to deliver digests or notifications to that destination.

We do not access unrelated workspace data or private messages.

Email and Slack metadata (timestamps, delivery status) may be logged for reliability.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service Provided “As Is”

Reconna is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Information Accuracy

Reconna makes no warranties as to the accuracy or completeness of detected or AI-generated content. You must independently verify information before acting on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Reconna is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
• Total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees you paid in the preceding 12 months.
• Reconna is not liable for losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated summaries or insights.

8. Third-Party Websites

You acknowledge that Reconna monitors and summarizes third-party sites that you choose. Reconna is not responsible for those sites’ content, accuracy, or legality, and monitoring them does not imply endorsement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reconna Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights.

10. Termination

• By You: You may terminate your account anytime through account settings.
• By Us: We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations, non-payment, or misuse, or if the Service is discontinued (with reasonable notice).

After termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or notice on the Service ≥ 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
