  • Payment information (processed securely through our payment provider)
  • Domain names and websites you choose to monitor
  • Communication preferences and delivery settings (email addresses, Slack webhook URLs)

Automatically Collected Information

When you access Reconna, we automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including:

  • IP address and browser type
  • Usage metrics (features used, time spent, interactions)
  • Device information (operating system, device identifiers)

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve our service.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication and security.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how users interact with our platform.
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and delivery preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features.

Website Content and Crawling

When you add a domain for monitoring, Reconna crawls publicly available web pages to detect changes. The retrieved content is used only to generate summaries and insights for your account. Reconna does not store full copies of crawled websites beyond what is necessary for change detection and summary generation, and we do not access password-protected or non-public content.

AI Processing and Model Providers

Reconna uses third-party AI services to analyze website changes and generate summaries. These services process only the relevant web content required to create insights. Reconna does not share personal user data (such as account or payment information) with AI providers, and any content processed by these providers is not used to train or improve their underlying models.

Third-Party Services

Analytics

We use analytics providers to understand usage patterns and improve Reconna. These partners may collect anonymized usage data.

Payment Processing

Payments are handled securely by our payment processor. Reconna never stores full credit-card details.

Email and Communication

We use email service providers to deliver digests, notifications, and account updates. Message metadata (timestamp, delivery status) may be retained for reliability monitoring.

Slack and Other Integrations

If you connect Reconna to third-party services (for example Slack), we share only the information required to deliver digests to those platforms. We do not access unrelated workspace data or private messages.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services and meet legal obligations. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days unless required to retain it for compliance reasons.

Security and Data Residency

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Your data is stored securely in cloud infrastructure located in the United States. Some trusted third-party providers may process data in other jurisdictions that maintain adequate privacy protections. While we work to safeguard your information, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
